More of my sketches

This is my sketch from a wedding that is only partially done, as you see. The children five and under were not interested in the photo-shoot on the church lawn so they looked for bugs. As you see the girl found one, but the little boy is trying to persuade her to let him hold it. I thought it was the cutest expression of childhood.

I actually named this sketch two different things--the Hungarian but then when I photographed it and uploaded it I named it German young lady. I know those groups/cultures/languages are different, but 'I realized as I was photographing it that it reminded me of someone from a family reunion and that would
be German ancestry so I decided it was German. No offense meant to the Hungarians. I do lots and lots of
sketches, dozens literally sometimes trying to get the right idea in my mind how I want it to look. This is what I call prep work for painting a similar painting in oils for my ethnic series. Remember my real name is Gloria Poole and I have a trade name of gloriapoole® for just such times as this. watercolor sketch only.

This is supposed to be a Maharajah from Kashmir from a thumbnail size
photo I saw  somewhere and I adapted it to be a little less elaborate so
I could paint it. The real metal badge had words and inscribing of course.
I love to try painting different nationalities and native dress/clothing. It is fun.
